Audi highlights LED technology in Super Bowl spot

Audi highlights LED technology in Super Bowl spot
For many, the most exciting part of the Super Bowl isn't the football – it's the commercial breaks! The most expensive day in advertising sees a spat of new, delightful ads, including some by traditional sponsors like Budweiser and Coca-Cola. This year, luxury automaker Audi got in on the action with a spot that highlighted their LED headlight technology.
The clever advertisement featured a group of vampires enjoying a party in the woods, complete with guitars, snacks and (naturally) some sanguine beverages. A latecomer arriving to the shindig forgets himself for a moment and drives up with his Audi S7's LED lights – which mimic daylight – shining directly into the partygoers, instantly zapping his buddies.
"In the spot, Audi LEDs – which at 5500 Kelvin produce the closest recreation of daylight available – put an end to the vampire party, and perhaps, to the greater vampire trend in pop culture," Scott Keogh, chief marketing officer of Audi of America, told LEDs Magazine.
Even if you don't have room in the budget for a brand-new Audi, you can still put some LEDs in your garage! LED rope lights are the perfect addition to any car port, adding energy-efficient lighting that helps you safely navigate in the day or the night – unless, of course, you're a vampire.   www.bgocled.com
