Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to install LED lighting

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to install LED lighting
Frequent fliers know that it's not every trip takes off at exactly the perfect moment – and struggling to find your car or hang onto your luggage in a poorly-lit parking lot at 3 a.m. is anything but enjoyable. Thankfully, Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport will soon be brightening its lighting technology by installing light-emitting diodes in some of its parking facilities.
The new LED lighting will be installed in the north and south covered parking lots, helping make those early morning or red-eye trips a little easier on weary passengers. Travellers could be enjoying the LEDs' benefits as early as April of this year.
"We are happy to provide greatly improved lighting for our passengers using these parking facilities," Aviation General Manager Louis Miller said in a press release. "LED lights are brighter, last longer and use less energy than other options, providing savings for the Airport and reducing our carbon footprint."
Miller added that the new lights are just the beginning of the airport's commitment to energy-efficiency and sustainability.
If you want to enjoy the benefits of LED lighting a little closer to home, you can set up your own LED rope lights in your living room! Rope lighting adds a cool, soothing glow to any room of the house, while helping to cut down on energy costs.  www.bgocled.com
